I grew up in rural Howard County, Maryland with my parents and cat Chessie (yes, he was named after the Chesapeake Bay.) From an early age I always knew I wanted to create but I was never exactly sure how I'd end up doing it. When I discovered Xanga and MySpace in the early 2000's, I ended up teaching myself HTML and CSS without even realizing it. I would stay up super late at night and code new layouts for profiles. Flash forward to 2016 - I was looking for a career change and ended up remembering my passion for code. I took a Web Development Immersive at General Assembly in Washington DC and became a full stack Web Developer.

"Rae was a great communicator, project manager, and creative partner during the process of upgrading our existing nonprofit squarespace site. We wanted something that kept some of the character of our existing site, but gave her the vague directive of its "hot, more sophisticated older sister" site...and she delivered! We're so happy with how this showcases our organization, and can't wait to keep working with Rae."

Working with Rae was one of the best decision I made in 2020. From her design to her eye for detail, she leveled up my website dramatically, & I’ve already seen a huge change in the amount of visitors I get!

"The job was to create an author website on a platform like Squarespace. She is the only responder that threw out site possibilities with the first contact. I loved her enthusiasm. We laid out a plan, she put it together just as she said she would in the time she said she would. I love the site! It's crisp and purposeful. Rae's pricing structure was extremely reasonable. Yes, I'd hire her again if I had another project."

This is a one woman show! I take all of my custom design work from nothing to something on my own. I'm really passionate about helping people in ways that work best for them and I tend to be a bit of a chameleon when it comes to design aesthetic and my communication style. From wireframe to launch, I'm here to support you so that you are feeling confident with how to maintain and manage your website when we're done working together. If you are a Web Designer working on Squarespace or Showit and you'd like to have someone on hand to pass overflow work to, help you implement your designs, or have tricky code that you need help troubleshooting, I'm just an email (or Voxer!) away!
